It's not a glomiest city at all, as the "Chaine of Puys" mountain range works very well by burning off most of the clouds coming from the Atlantic ocean.
I guess it would be much glomier somewhere on western slopes of "Massif Central" mountains.
Madrid Barajas airport gets 2769 sunshine hours per year, ranging between 124 in December and 359 in July.
Is the NW side of the sierra de Guadarrama much gloomier than the SE side? Looks like Segovia gets 2480 hours over the 1971-2000 period, but the mountains are higher than the Chaîne des Puys.

Yes, the NW side of it is glommier than the SE all year round. In summer, the NW side is a bit prone to convective clouds, whereas the rest of the year is a bit prone to winter orographic low stratus clouds when northwesterlies blows into this area.
I guess my town is even way glommier than Segovia city, but we haven't any sunshine reliable data at all.
There is not a big difference, though.
