If it had coincided with a calendar month, it would most likely have beaten 2006

For Orly airport, that would be 15 consecutive days above 90.0°F/32.2°C in June/July 1976.

Not sure what the French record is. Le Luc, Provence's warmest station with Carpentras, had 36 consecutive 32.2°C+ days in 1950.

I'm guessing 2006 and 1976 were two of your better summers in history as well?

Just checked the stats for the summer 1976 here- which most people here remember as a warm and and very dry summer.

90°F were not reached that summer here, the highest max was 32.1°C / 89.8°F.
In total 30°C/ 86°F were surpassed only four times here.

But indeed it was quite a dry summer. Primarely July 1976 was pretty dry with only 25.6 mm (1 inch) of rain, which is about a third of the longterm average.

There were also two periods of unusually long rainless days, first one starting on June 21st until July 12th and the second one from August 7th to August 25th.

The station is not at an airport, it is Port Salerno 5W (the closest to my house). Records only go back to 2002. The nearest station at an airport is Stuart, Witham Field Airport (KSUA).

FWIW, our record consecutive stretch above 90F is two days, lol.

Records indicate that 1976 was consistently warm, but never really hot here.

Two I think. Lahti had 3 in July 2010.

There is something between 88 and 90F that seems too hard to achieve. Too cool 850's probably, or too far north. Coastal moderation surely.

Midway airport's record is 12 straight days before the 90's were interrupted by lake breezes.

My suburb did a little better. Longest stretch is 16 days....

While Boise, Idaho, which is also at approx. 41N, has had 9 consecutive days over 100*. I don't know the record for days over 90*. The record for the state is 77 consecutive days over 90*, and Boise gets an average of 46 days over 90*, but not necessarily consecutive.

For Boise it's 50 days in a row 90°+. Very interesting. July 3, 1875 to August 22, 1875. 2nd most is 44 days in a row in 1994.

Take note coastal love/haters. LOL

For all of Scotland, probably 1. In my home city, 0.
