Same temp on Nantucket, MA right now as Tampa, Florida. Nantucket only 4 degrees cooler than Miami.

Reasons: One near center of Storm. The other because High pressure, digging trough, and ULL to north

Miami, Florida discussion

THE CHILLY WEATHER PATTERN WILL REMAIN LOCKED IN PLACE THIS WEEK
ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA AS N-NW WIND FLOW PREVAILS BETWEEN HIGH
PRESSURE OVER THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND LOW PRESSURE OVER NEW
ENGLAND AND THE WESTERN ATLANTIC. WITH LITTLE MOVEMENT OF THESE
FEATURES, TEMPS WILL REMAIN WELL BELOW AVERAGE AS AIRMASS OF
CONTINENTAL ORIGIN REIGNS.

THE COLDEST NIGHT LOOKS TO BE TONIGHT AS LOWER DEWPOINTS IN THE
30S ACROSS NORTH FLORIDA ARE FORECAST TO DIVE SOUTH INTO THE AREA
THIS AFTERNOON. THE PRESSURE GRADIENT THEN RELAXES WITH CALM WINDS
TONIGHT...AND WITH A MOSTLY CLEAR SKY, GOOD RADIATIONAL COOLING
WILL TAKE PLACE. SOUNDINGS DO SHOW LOW LEVEL WINDS BECOMING MORE
WESTERLY THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT ALONG WITH A LITTLE CIRRUS RIDING
OVERHEAD. FOR THIS REASON, DID NOT GO QUITE AS LOW AS MOS OUTPUT,
BUT DID GO A FEW DEGREES COLDER THAN THE BLENDS AT MOST LOCALES
BOTH FOR TONIGHT AND THU NIGHT. HIGHS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS WILL
HOLD ONLY IN THE 60S DESPITE SUNSHINE.

THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH STUCK OVER THE EASTERN CONUS WILL FINALLY
MOVE EAST EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH A BUILDING RIDGE AND THIS WILL
ALLOW TEMPS TO REBOUND BACK TO CLIMO LEVELS NEXT WEEK. DRY
WEATHER WILL PREVAIL INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. /GREGORIA

One weather feature I love is the Upper Level Low. Sorry if Im a broken record sometimes. Just the thought of a spinning storm at the upper levels is fascinating. And remember, anytime you are under one (Summer or Winter) its cloudy, cool, with scattered on/off precip.

Right now its almost directly centered over me. You can always see them by looking at the 500mb Heights.

Snow has developed over Northern NJ slowly moving "south". (think counterclockwise flow)

Idk, with this massive CA rain and pineapple express, so far this winter looks nothing like last year. Of course, it could on a change on a dime in North America as it has done many times in the past.
