After a near record warm June. July was about 0.5C colder than average, and I suspect August will be similar. It feels like it's been a long winter, so roll on spring.

A 0C/32F start for this last day of calendar winter, with a 15C/59F high forecast.

No spring photos at present, although this one from a couple of weeks ago, hints at spring with flowering acacia

Not completely I guess.

Cool and wet this week and Santiago so lots of snow for the mountains.

Buenos Aires is quite a bit warmer this week...

Indeed, this is a photo in the argentine side today (2700masl)






This morning here we had some good electric activity and 15mm of rain to kick off the spring.

-1/0C for the first two nights of spring and 17-19C days. Last night was a toasty 6C.

A coffee down at the wharf today. Snow is getting a bit thin on the tops.
