Absolutely Denver is in my mind, the highest reputed major city as fluctuating temperatures.

December 2013 (Ignore that 1,910 inches lol)

May 2014

I was just reading this on our local weather blog

On Jan. 13, cold air quickly returned to Chicago in the storm’s wake, sending the mercury plunging to minus 9 after a balmy early morning high of 42.

From 6C to -23C within 24 hours....

And I do remember January 2008... A wild first week of that month. -17C on the 3rd to 18C on the 7th. We even had tornadoes that week

YA it was crazy I was trapped in my house for weeks and had to drink toilet water

I say Springfield Missouri because almost anything can happen there from blizzards, tornadoes, extreme heat and cold, and flooding

Preferably over a 24 hour span (to weeks). Even the same month applies.

I didn't really ask for temperature fluctuation within a few hours. I want people to list cities that are, say, 25C today and a couple of days later they're around 0C (the highs).

I should've been specific on that I guess.

In the US, the highest deviations are in winter, and within the US the highest std deviations are in the Upper Midwest. North Dakota has a Jan monthly mean std deviation of 9F, while New Orleans would be around 4F.

You would be wrong. Denver has daily std deviation in Jan of around 13F on the high temp, and 10F on the low. Bismarck, ND had 16F on both the high and low temp.

10°F for the high and about 12.5°F for the low here in January. Lancaster, NH is 11°F for the high and 16°F for the low.
