Yes and its east of me too but it isn't in the geographic area of eastern Europe.

Sweden, eastern Europe? No.

Sweden is classified as Northern Europe.

Even if you split Europe into only West and East, Sweden will lie in the West, and Finland on the East

Of course it's noteworthy - December 2010 was the second coldest December ever - the coldest on record locally. -8C highs are very unusual.

In all fairness... I can never tell. North-western Europe may be either wet or snowy!.. One thing I do know, is that daylight hours will be short and it will be dull for much of the 4 months between November and February!

December 2010 was brutal. We saw highs of -17C here. It's the second coldest month since 2000 after January 2010, however, the average minimum was -13.7C in December 2010 and -13.6C in January 2010.

March 2006 had an average minimum of -11.3C
