Next time I'll post here will be in January, or perhaps never at all.

Lows in the high 50s and low 60s for the next 2 weeks.

Probably won't see 32 until november or late october like last year.

Down here, I'm guessing around thanksgiving.

In CNJ, around Halloween.

Atlanta's average Thanksgiving temp is the same as CNJ's average Halloween temp. High of 59 F and low of 40 F.

First frost here was on the last night of summer/first morning of Autumn. Still a nice day though, and warm enough for a swim in the river.

We don't get our first air frost (32F/0C low) until mid or late November on average.

Here's a map showing the Earliest freezing temp date..

I'm end of September (border of purple and blue) Bridgeport at coast earliest 32F/0C is October 9th, Danbury just north of me is Sept 12th, so makes sense mine would be end of Sept as the extreme.

Earliest 32F Date

Hartford: September 20, 1969
Bridgeport: Oct 9, 1988
Danbury: Sep 12, 1943

Providence: Sept 30, 1951

NYC: Oct 15, 1986

Philly: Oct 5, 1961

Boston: Oct 5, 1881
That map doesn't seem very accurate to me. Denver's average first frost is October 10, but this shows it as being in September on average. (although we did have a slight frost last week lol!) And it shows coastal Southern California with an average in November. I lived in the coastal plain of Orange County and any frost period was extremely rare. I think I saw an extremely light frost maybe 3 times in 15 years.

The map shows the earliest frost date ever recorded, not the average.

It's the extreme, it's the record first freeze, not frost.

Denver is Sept 6, 1962. Average freeze like you said is in October (Oct 7th)

NowData Records

Average frost for Denver (using 35F) is September 29th
