An overnight Foehn wind in early October 2004, saw the 4.00am temperature at 24C/74F here, with 27C at 9.00am. Some areas reached 30C.

Average low is 6C/43F, so that was a significant event.

31.1C in October 2011.

Winnipeg has only hit 30C in October 4 times since 1872.

One significant event this October. The night before Oct 5th 2014 was the warmest ever recorded in October in Trondheim. Low was 16.1C at Værnes (12 m) and 15.2C at Voll (127 m).

Looking at Mid-Norway as my location: October 11th 2005 - Molde Airport records high of 25.6C, still all - time high for October in the country.

October 2002: After a very warm 2002 up untill October, this month ruined the possibility of 2002 becoming the warmest year ever. One of the coldest October ever, with 24-hr mean 2.6C at Trondheim - Voll, high /low: 5.5C / -0.2C

Just from my short term memory.

Last year driest October on record. Less than 1/2" all month.

2011: near record highest max temp of mid 80sF

2011: Big Snowstorm

2012: Hurricane Sandy
