A while ago, a couple users came up with the idea of "rate the climate" and "climate battle" polls. They often brought about entertaining geography discussions, and climate patterns around the world few had realized. But at this point, as most forum regulars have noticed, almost every real climate in the world has been rated. Even the fictional climates have been getting rather similar, including the usual "climate battles", real or fictional. (Typical cold vs hot, usually, and often repetitively extreme ones) Recently, this forum has been getting overwhelmed with climate polls that are getting rather repetitive. Since this forum is meant to be a general weather forum, for now new climate polls will be under a cap. A few new ones will still be allowed, but not so many as to overwhelm the forum and feel repetitive.

So, no more than two new climate polls per month per user. If you have more you'd like to post, hold onto them until next month. Many times a very similar poll exists. You are welcome to post on those instead, but please on bump up old thread with new content as per the TOS.

Nor does it add much to the forum to bump an old poll without much more than a rating. Most of the interesting climates have been done, we don't need to see them rated again either with new threads of similar climates or an old bump threads.

There are plenty of relaxing ways to post — just talk lightly about your weather. This forum is meant to discuss weather happenings and weather/climate patterns not an endless series of repetitive polls. So, don't:

1) Finding lots of ancient polls just to add to the rating, what's the point? Been there, done that
2) A few new polls are fine, make a couple with some thought into it rather than filling the forum with lots of them.
