49 here, 39 in Columbia, SC.

Places 3-4 hours to my south, west, and northwest are/were getting snow, but here it's just partly cloudy and about to hit 50.

I wonder if any forecasts were even calling for the possibility of snow there.

Don't think so, maybe a rain/snow mix? I think South Carolina has been the surprise so far. Or maybe the 16"+ for Smokey mountains, probably more if it kept snowing after that report.

Here's reports of snow accumulations. Greenwood, SC is furthest south with a report here. And this wasn't a widespread snowstorm by any means. Gotta love those ULL's!

National Weather Service - Eastern Region Hydrometeorological Event Display

The storm moving into New England now has produced the earliest recorded snow in history for Columbia, SC. Something to keep in mind if air stays cold enough.

GFS wraps some snow around in MA!

Rain/sleet at 35F at the moment. Maybe there is some hope still.

Here's Latest GFS Sunday afternoon. See the 984mb storm off coast of Maine?

See the dotted blue line? Rain/Snow line. Cold air rushes in behind it so is moisture is still around yeah snow chances.

Check out the snow totals from it. Over a foot possible in Maine! Maybe snow for Boston!
