Many pics/videos with link.

Buffalo, N.Y., area in the midst of a truly insane lake effect snow storm

I knew we would be witnessing history. Hope everyone is ok up there. The landscape will be surreal to see.

Man, that's just insane. I hope those folks stocked up ahead of time - I'd have at least a couple week's worth of the essentials - it's gonna be pretty tough getting around in that....lol.

Did you like the weather in Atlanta today. I was kinda happy to hear all the southerners bitching about the cold. Kinda sadistic .
We will see a low of 22 F tonight .

Oh yeah, it was nice out there while I made my Costco run...lol. Didn't feel that cold, really.

Just keep in mind this is *not normal* for Atlanta, and brace yourself for some mild to warm weather coming up by the weekend. But the long-range (December) sure looks mighty promising.

That's beyond insane. How does a society continue to even function under those conditions?

They don't. It's called total paralysis.

Similar to what happened in Buffalo in 1977, which caused great hardship for a large number of people.

You can read about it here:
