What floors me is how central Florida and New York City can be classified as the same climate. Nothing is "subtropical" about a climate where snow removal equipment and shovels are standard fare in winter.

Marseille has a very bad reputation in France because of the violence, Paris suburb are dangerous too.
I post a picture of some french suburb :
So because you've never witnessed it, it doesn't happen?

I live in France and I know what I'm talking about.
But you've never lived in NYC, so you don't know what you're talking about. And I've never lived in France, so I can't speak on it. A quick google search of "Empire State Building shooting" and "Eiffel Tower shooting" returns very different results.

It doesn't matter where you live, you will never know what you are talking about!

You honestly believe New York is far safer than ANY city in France?? Do you actually believe the stuff you write, or are you laughing as you read this?

NYC. Marginally cooler, much wetter, more seasonality.

Marseille is just too dry and boring, weatherwise. Not entirely unpleasant, mind you, but I would prefer NYC.

NYC is 2 degrees South of Marseilles, so its climate all in all is slightly better.

I much prefer NYC in every season. Marseille has great temps in summer, but they're ruined by the low rainfall.

Roz, have you been?
Yes. That neighborhood is boring as heck. It's full of embassies and ministries.

Yet you posted two pictures of Paris intra muros just because they correspond to the stereotypical French suburb:

[anecdotal evidence]I've lived 7 year in a rather poor suburb with more than 1/3 public housing and nothing happened to me, night and day, drunk or not. However, I've been mugged in central Paris and robbed in Stuttgart, of all places.[/anecdotal evidence]

The inhabitants doesn't feel that way. Sorry, no English subtitles, only for French speaking.
Went for a bike ride over there last June. I didn't like the vibe.

NYC has snow storms, hurricanes, wind chill, and heat waves so it's definitely more dangerous than Marseille which has an idyllic climate in comparison.

The embassies tend to group together. Meanwhile the French embassy in Helsinki is in the most expensive part of the city, and that area is also full of embassies. And boring as heck. They don't even have a store there!
