So during the all-night twilight phase you can see the sun out? Are there usually a good number of July days to see the long day length without overcast conditions? Or can it be overcast for days at a time?

How is Reykjavik's mid-July weather typically for seeing sunshine vs cloudcover?

Just go to NE Norway or northern Finland. It's sunnier and higher latitude than Iceland.
