Coldest place I have been to would be the mountain city of Baguio, but it is not even that cold.

Hottest would be Seville in July (41C temperatures)

As for the coldest, I have never really been somewhere too different from the UK in winter.

Hottest: Vegas in July- High of 112F on the hottest day. Been to Death Valley twice too but it was in winter.
Coldest: South Lake Tahoe in February: Low of 3 F on the coldest night
