Guess its time to post in the Tornado thread again. Ugh. I had purchased the GRLevelx software which had 3D views of storms. Pretty darn cool. But I let it expire.
Beyond the next couple of weeks we may actually see a major pattern shift
Quote:
BOTTOM LINE: A general wind-down of the Winter Pattern is expected during mid-April that will support a pattern transition across the lower 48 that results in warmer than average temperatures over the East and near seasonable to even slightly below average temperatures focused over the interior Northwest. The Northern Hemisphere transitional pattern is supported by the upcoming break-down of the winter-time stratospheric Polar Vortex, the intraseasonal shift of tropical thunderstorm activity to over the Eastern Hemisphere over the next two weeks, and the warming that is expected in the eastern Pacific. Spring-time alas!

That might get stunted if the sudden stratosphere warming directs the cold air towards us again.
For those not sure..
When the stratosphere warms, the troposphere(where we live) cools. So depending on where the cold pool of air is, we might not see a warm pattern coming. Otherwise its looking good for a warmer pattern after April 8th
Hi-Res NAM showing the snow for high elevations & VT tomm afternoon & evening. Man that must be something to be on the summits tomorrow and watch the cold front come through and the rain/ice turn to snow and temps dropping.
Won't be much to see, the summits will be covered in fog tomrrow.
