Summer shall be defined as June-July-August in the N. Hemisphere, and Dec-Jan-Feb in the S. Hemisphere.

Saskatoon's record is a chilly 2.2 degrees C (36 degrees F) on June 3, 1910, with a cold rain falling.

76F (24C) on June 2, 2005. Not from a cold front, but due to cloud cover. 1.5 inches of rain that day.

I somehow remember a 13C (56F) high back in August a few years ago. I remember it was drizzly all day with a very low diurnal range (2 or 3C)

June: 65F (18.3C) on June 14, 1903
July: 73F (22.8C) on July 7, 1905
August: 75F (23.9) on August 8, 1940

There were 3 days this past summer that stayed below 80F, due to rain and cloud cover - June 27, July 19, and August 30.

For Corvallis, Oregon, a 51 (10.5C) was recorded on June 1 1971. Don't much remember it but the records show 0.4 inches of rain fell (about 12 mm) and there was a stiff breeze. A thoroughly rotten day.
The absolute worse I could find for a inhabited spot anywhere in the lower 48 was a 32 (0) maximum reading on August 23 at a weather station near Browning Montana. There was over 3 inches of snowfall that day as well. Yecch!

11.7C (53F) on Dec 1966.

It must've been a freak event because that temp was only a degree higher than August's (winter) lowest maximum! Even Sep-Nov had higher low maximum records (at 12C-ish).

On Jan and Feb, we had maximum temps of 17.5C (63F) and 18.0C (64F) respectively - A big leap over the Dec lowest maximum.

Santa Monica has recorded highs of 58 F in June! Same microclimate that has never recorded a frost.
