Its crazy cold in the upper peninsula. I can't believe it can be sub zero all day in April at that latitude..

Btw, updated. 20C at MDW in Chicago Warmest is Joliet at 21C,but speaking of icy waters, lake breezes pushing on shore up along the Wisconsin/Illinois border have Waukegan down to just 10C. That's only about 30 miles from ORD which is reading 18C
Can't believe it is only in the 40's in Boston, and 31F in Homer, NY. That is a 4 hour drive away. Yikes. Nice Spring day here sunny with temps in the 60'sF.

Waukegan down another couple of degrees in the last hour. It's only 9C along the far NorthShore but 19C at ORD and 20C at MDW. Winds haven't switched yet at the downtown shoreline, still 18C there
The "Pneumonia Front" off the lake starting to push inland in the northern suburbs. Waukegan which has it's thermometer on the harbor is down to 39F/4C, ORD is at 49F/9C, yet MDW is still at 64F/18C as is Northerly Island in downtown Chicago.
Night temperatures are a bit cool this coming week, seems like we'll have these dry / windy / sunny conditions for a bit longer, with a large diurnal range.

Just checked the Uni site and RAF Linton, and the highest temperatures we have reached so far are 16.6C and 16.3C respectively. May well beat that today.
