I think you might be in the wrong forum. Try Entertainment and Arts.
Vivaldi's Summer is certainly a work of art.

Perfect timing with this comment. Someone who recently (3 years)moved here from England, just rang up to arrange meeting at the beach at about 12.30 pm today, despite the temperature being 22C and the sky heavily overcast (rain by mid afternoon methinks) The expectation is that the water will be warm and the conditions balmy -not feeling like a wet 18C day.

Perhaps that is the difference that many from your part of the world, refer to?

People swarm the beach at temperatures much lower than 22 degrees in England!

Don't get me wrong though, a 24C wet day can feel quite humid - but to be fair I'd rather a 30C overcast day, than a 24C overcast day - I'm just a hot weather lover me - plus I do tend to overreact with how low temps can feel sometimes tbh... Haha

But there are a lot more chilly wet days in Hobart than in London.

More like showers, followed by nice sunny or clear skies - unlike London's overcastness! Plus I believe that Aus uses 0.2mm per day, rather than Europe's 1mm per day calculations. So that 160 or so days of rain in Hobart is probably around 200mm in London... This just a guess though... Plus London has hardly any sunshine, Portsmouth is the Sunshine City in comparison!! Even Portsmouth is dull! Haha

Hobart is more likely to get extreme heat, though London is more consistently warmer in the summer.

But Hobart is warmer year round and has around the same Spring and Summer sunshine as Portsmouth - the rest of the year sunnier... So surely Hobart will be more summery?

Hobart gets the equivalent of 2-3 extra sunny days per month, it's barely noticeable. Also, at the trace level, London gets 140 days (mostly dew), which is still drier than Hobart.
