You're such a minister of propaganda regarding London's climate that I doubt anyone regular believes you anymore.
I am not lying. If you asked flamingalah, irlinit or meteoman when he lived in the area, they would all say the same things as me. It's only the people who don't live in the area who seem to think I am constantly lying about everything. I thought you had me on ignore anyway.

This is absolutely not scientific but, just to get a rough idea, taking July 2015 which was exactly average (13.9/23.6°C)

Midnight temp at Heathrow Airport, July 2015
1: 22.3°C
2: 24.8°C
3: 17.3°C
4: 20.1°C
5: 19.0°C
6: 16.7°C
7: 17.2°C
8: 15.6°C
9: 15.8°C
10: 17.5°C
11: 20.9°C
12: 18.9°C
13: 17.3°C
14: 18.0°C
15: 18.2°C
16: 18.9°C
17: 18.5°C
18: 17.4°C
19: 16.4°C
20: 18.3°C
21: 18.9°C
22: 18.5°C
23: 16.0°C
24: 17.8°C
25: 12.8°C
26: 15.2°C
27: 15.2°C
28: 15.1°C
29: 14.2°C
30: 14.3°C
31: 14.5°C

Average: 17.5°C

Taking the UHI into account, 20°C might not be too far off for Central London.

Central London mins are 2c warmer than at Heathrow, so 20c doesn't sound so ridiculous.

If the high is 23C, midnight should be around 17-18.

That's about right at Heathrow, but the inner city low is about 2c warmer (16c vs 14c) hence why I said 20c. Most tourists would be in the central area.

Central cities are always warmer at night, but the problem with that is it is difficult to compare to other places. Usually airport to airport is closest to apples to apples. All in all I don't think central London at night in summer would be too bad based on the avg from 2015.

I looked at the last ten summers, 2005 to 2015, for where I live (airport data). The year with the month closest to the mean for those last ten years I used the June, July and August temps at midnite (and dewpoint).

June - 21.8C (71F) dewpoint avg of 15C
July - 24.1C (75F) " " 19.4C
Aug - 23.3C (74F) " " 17.8C

Warmest June night 27.2C(81F) with dewpoint of 20C

Warmest July night 28.3C(83F) with dewpoint of 22.8C

Warmest Aug night 30.6C(87F) with dewpoint of 22.2C

Coldest June night 16.6C(62F) with dewpoint of 6.1C

Coldest July night 20.6C(69F) with dewpoint of 11.7C

Coldest Aug night 15.6C(60F) with dewpoint of 14.4C

I think our central urban core would be a couple degrees F warmer at midnite than our airport. If Heathrow in July averages 17.5C (63.5F) at midnite, and central London was a couple degrees warmer, it would be a decent temp for a summer nite. Not as warm as I like it, but after a week or so I could get by without a jacket I think.

Now the beach would be a different matter as I think your coastal areas are quite a bit cooler than central London. Here, the low temps at the beaches are usually the same or a little warmer than the city. The barrier island Atlantic City is on averages a June, July, and August avg min temp (24 hour min) of 64.5F (18C), 70.2F(21.2C), and 70F(21.1C). This is slightly warmer than Philadelphia airport. I think at night in summer I would definitely need a jacket along the beaches in the UK. But certainly not as bad as Central or Northern California where one year in Sept I didn't take a jacket with me (at that time I thought CA was warmer than Philly), and I got a bad cold and literally felt freezing at night without a jacket. This was in Arcata, CA.

Most coastal areas are cooler during the day, but as warm or warmer at night than Heathrow. Beach locations like Southsea in Portsmouth have 15c lows in July and August.

I don't know if it would feel warmer or cooler there if the air was calm (the air here at night is usually calm, I imagine there would be a breeze at the coast).

Having lived all my life in coastal locations, the breeze stops before nightfall. As soon as the sun starts to set, the breeze suddenly stops.

It could just as easily be 10C or lower.

Arcata is colder than Fairbanks in summer. I have been there twice in June and it's always been cloudy and cold.
