Lol. Probably last forever for you and 1 day for me. Lol

I actually asked nei to close this thread. I started it in disgust and depression. Bit premature but 1/3 of it is over though. Let's see if Jan/Feb can save it.

It has been saved! LOL.

We always seem to forget how fast things can turn around but yeah, it was a miserable 1st half for cold & snow lovers.

Remember how cold November was? Then December ruined it. January started off strong then backed off quite a bit. Now February starts strong.

Indeed. That's why I never call a whole winter a "failure" before it's (almost all) over and done with, considering the number of back-loaded winters that have occurred historically.

I guess it's becoming a pattern lately. Summer started in the second half of August last year.

Well, this winters weather in indianapolis has failed to meet a lot of local residents expectations considering these same people were told this winter was supposed to be worse than last winter, so given the weather this winter so far as compared to what at least some people expected for this winter, in a sense at least in indianapolis this winter has been somewhat of a failure if not then a major dissappointment for snow lovers.

Still a failure for 95% of the South. Second winter in a row with single digits and no snow to show for it. It's really just become a joke. After this snowless winter ends and the next one comes around, it will be going on 5 years since I've seen an inch of snow on the ground.

the total opposite for me, this winter and last have been complete success IMO (except for the rain aspect)
