just some background on my suburb, so if there is any confusion as to why i chose these temps.
Winter- Avocado heights is warmer day and night by about 2-3 F than Azusa (official station location), the start to 2014 was one of, if not, the warmest in our history, so variation was less than in normal winter months, as the whole region experienced above normal temps. Januaray was snow less on our mountain peaks, feb saw snow on mts, so Azusa being a foothill community gets cold winds sweeping from above in the cooler hours of the day, while we are shielded just enough by the rose hills to keep temps warmer than elsewhere in the area, but we arent totally sheided either since we get more ocean moderation than foothill comunities, just enough to keep us "warm" by night, but not spare us of 71 F average Jan temp.
Spring- the start of spring (March) we are still slightly warmer by day (we are much warmer by night year round than Azusa). but then the rest we are practically the same.
Summer- June we are the same by day, but we are noticably warmer by night throughout summer (again as rose hills doesnt completely block off onshore winds which keep our night temps warmer, thanks to high temps coupled with enough "humid" onshore winds sweeping over rose hills, Azusa on the other hand is dryer, giving it much higher diurnal ranges). the rest of the summer we are cooler by day.
Fall- start of fall (september we are nearly the same by day, much warmer by night, or for us where "fall" starts in october, its the same by day), november we are warmer by day, as Azusa change in temps from summer to winter (hotter summer days than us, cooler winter days than us) is more "extreme" than Avocado height.
special thanks to Rams_Lord for helping me display the weather boxes ( i still dont know how to paste them here )
I give it a D+ because the daytime highs are WAY too high (90+ for 6 months. wtf!?). It gets saved from an F because the nighttime lows are quite pleasant, and because it's a dry heat. A winter would be a nice touch after those horrid 11-month summers (December is the only relief).

I give this a B. A bit hot in the summer and I am assuming dry. Otherwise very nice. Would swap anyday.
