Singapore's record high is just 7C warmer. So this climate is tropical (still 18c daily mean in coldest month) and higher elevation.
But Singapore's average high in its coldest month is higher than the all time record for AJ's fictional climate. Singapore feels hot all year round and this climate would feel mild all year without any real heat. I like to classify a climate by how it "feels" the vast majority of the time.
This is the WHOLE purpose of this climate! It IS in fact a TROPICAL climate. However the year round temps are mild to cool with true warmth rare (record high of 84F) and occasional true COLD (record low of 30F) would it really FEEL tropical to you?
Welp the record high in Fort Yukon, Alaska is 2C warmer than the record high in singapore. I never knew alaske had a tropical climate!
Record dont mean anything except what a climate is CAPABLE of
Thats my point. Record high isn't that significant for a climate. Infact Oymyakon had recorded triple digits!!!

More like tropical HIGHLAND. Our country have thus type of climate and I've experienced one in Lembang several times. Tropical highland is TROPICAL highland. It feels different from temperate climate despite similar temps. The air is thinner, and the sun is stronger.
Or if located at sea level, it's probably a hybrid of oceanic, subtropical, and tropical.
I wouldn't enjoy it because there is no real heat. Just mild warmth all year day and night.
It is at sea level. On a cold ocean. (Notice its record low of 30F indicating its considerable latitude)
