I have to agree with Yn0hTnA on this "teens in the everglades" BS. The record low in Miami is 27F. The lowest temp I could possibly Imagine in the everglades is 22-23F I dont agree with him about any of this "cold epoch" nonsense but the suggestion of temps below 20 within 100 miles of my hometown is rediculous.

L.A.-Mex is ill-informed about teens in the Everglades. I believe he is referring to Archbold Biological Station, which has hit 13F as recently as 2001. It's located quite a ways north of the Everglades on the Lake Wales Ridge. Its elevation and dry sandy soil cause it to be a bit of frost hollow on clear cold nights. Further south (though still not in the Everglades), Immokalee has gotten down to 20F. In the Everglades proper, Royal Palm Ranger Station quite remarkably has a record low of 24F.

Is this "13F" place south of Lake Okechobee? If so this is one of the most insane weather records I have ever heard of! And I though it was cold when it hit 32F at my PWS in 2010!

Be careful what you say. The "tropical paradise" clowns would have you believe Martin County is in South Florida, but I am proud to live in subtropical Central Florida. Lol

No, just the people who live here would think they have found paradise where it is 78F all year long.

Lol. I love when tourists show up during a "cold wave" and are like "WTF I didn't sign up for this!"
