Winter Storm Warning extended to 6PM. Had some freezing rain this morning. Currently 19 F/-8 C with a windchill of 4 F/-16 C with light snow. Getting windy too. Could do without the freezing rain, but exciting weather in nonetheless. Winds expected to pick up and temps will plummet.

Frigid out. Definitely getting more snow than last time. Went for a walk, was fun but was getting tired of the cold at the end.

Anyone that had changed from NYC northward shouldn't see plain rain anymore today. Either stay ice until its done or change back to snow in a little while

Here it is.. Current Radar and metars. 11:15am.

I got moderate freezing rain here right now. Temp at 24°F. Stupid layer above is above freezing.

Long Island changed to ice. I'm seeing some changeover back to snow points west.

Seriously? Another storm at the end of the week for the Northeast (according to the Euro)?

3 degrees here in Waterbury VT, snow is coming down, I'd say we're at about 4-5" so far. Gonna head out during lunch and hopefully get some nice pics. Everyone be careful in the ice down there!

Pretty nasty over here. Sleet at 28F right now. Before there was freezing rain at 30F.

Needless to say, road conditions are complete crap. Saw some folks slipping & sliding earlier. Just change back to snow, already!

Very colorful radar right now:

Looks like the changeover occurred quicker than expected? Rain changing back to freezing rain/mix in Central Jersey. For those who were able to get to work and school, I imagine there might be some issues getting home.

Sleet is still falling at 25F! I've never seen this before.

This is absurd. There must be some really stubborn warm air at an upper level.

There is a glossy coating of ice forming on some of the tree branches. Kinda pretty.

All of my family members opted to go to work today.

After hours of ice now Im back to moderate snow as the column of air crashed back down and changed it to snow. Fascinating! I have to grab the soundings!

Once you change back to all snow that's it from there, no more rain or ice. I was never rain and very little sleet time.
