We dropped down to 12F this morning. After a high of 30, we are currently at 20. That makes 44 hours below freezing which is incredible for us. We will easily hit 50 hours below freezing.

11pm..

-6°F at FOK on Long Island & rain in 24hrs?

If BDR is in single digits after midnight 5th longest streak min below 10°. Only 4 years have longer streak. (1968, 1981, 1994, 1961)

BDL at 1° now which is the low of the day. Snowpack proving who's boss.

Nuts. As many of us keep saying "impressive" is the word of the month. Single digits in Virginia right now. Normal is 30s

I'm at 7° here, what the heck is going on? SO WEIRD. I always complained that we are lucky to get 1 or 2 times a year, here I am dipping down 10 times this month.

Pretty insane for 11pm. 4F here, and it might hit 0F for the first and last time this year.

PIT has had single digit lows for the 9th consecutive day (12 so far in the month) and barring a warm-up before midnight, should log a 10th consecutive day tomorrow, which be the longest stretch ending or beginning in February (since 1875). Need just four more by end of the month to match the record total from 1875 and 1979.

My PWS is showing -1F / -18C. This is only the third time in the past decade it has has shown a subzero reading, the previous occurrences being Jan 4, 2014 and Jan 17, 2009. Nuts

FOK has hit -10F Happens once every four years or so. Record low is -14F
National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : The Gabreski Airport

Will HWV go below zero?? Happens once every four years or so. Record low is -4F
National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : Shirley, Brookhaven Airport

ISP probably won't. Hasn't gone below since the 1980's. Record low is -7F
National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : Islip, Long Island Mac Arthur Airport

I can't even sleep.

-3F here now! This is the lowest I've ever seen on my PWS, tied with Jan 17, 2009. Lowest in February, certainly.

HWV went below: -1F now (monthly record, though this is an unofficial nws station)

FOK still at -10F (monthly record, again unofficial station)

ISP at 3F. It would set a rec low for the month if it can go 3 degrees lower before sunrise.

Bridgeport (BDR) is very warm at 5F. Generally unimpressive values close to the city.

Isn't this sick? So insane. I did not expect this... I got my low of the season again. -4.7°! I never seen or felt a low like that around here or where I grew up. Just keeps getting crazier..

BDL also at their low of the season of -7 below zero. Lets see if they can dip below that

Providence at -3F also tied the low of the season.

6am temps and radar
