The sky is surprisingly blue despite the heat and humidity. Thought it'd be hazier.

You too??? I literally was starring at the sky and wondering for minutes why it looks like that. So weird.
Here's how it looked late morning.

But now the haze is happening and looks typical in summer. That dim type of light.

Wow, looks more like fall than summer hard to realize that's a high humidity morning.

Anyhow, it's 87°F with a dewpoint of 74°F. Heat index 96°F. Berlin had the same heat index when I visited but with hotter temperatures and low humidity. Going to walk outside and compare which feels worse. I suspect the hotter temperature but lower humidity will feel worse.

Sky is a hazy light blue, but the clouds just cleared.

.

Exactly.. I was on the roof doing a double take.. What season is this? LOL. Had to take some pictures. But now it's been reminded what season it is and the haze is back and no more clear blue. But still no "clouds"

I'd dislike high humidity less if it didn't tend make the skies look so hazy, I find the haze look ugly.

It's 36c in Washington (97).

It looks like I have chosen the right time to come because last week it was only 28.

we where a the lake temp was around 93 to 96 not sure of the exact temp at the time. oppressively humid heat index had to be over 100. saw a couple large sabal minor palms growing in the woods that looked to be flourishing with all this heat they where very large much larger than me. a storm fired up right after we left the lake I started praying for many cloud to ground strikes and almost the second after I finished praying a lightning bolt hit the power line just a few feet away and it exploded. and then a few seconds later another lightning strike hit just across the street from us and then a couple minutes later a strike hit just a few meters behind us. best storm of the summer for me. everyone was complaining about the humidity I loved the weather. lol I wonder what would happen to cambium if he had to spend a week here in july.

Severe thunderstorm at the MA-NY border. Will it reach us? Radar is bright red, so it should be intense. Has a small purple spot in the middle.
