First we have to get through this.

Inland CT on left. First and official heat wave for inland. Wow.

Coast on right. These lows next 4 days are killing me. Humidity as well. Summer is back and so will be the haze.

I hope that cool air makes its way down. We'll need it after this upcoming week.

The shift seems like it'll happen around next Tuesday. Syracuse is getting more of the cool than we are, I think that's a common situation from the ways trough dig. Don't mind, 12°C 850 hPa temperatures are fine, under 5°C is a bit excessive. Assuming that actually happens, it's probably exaggerated.

Do you consider a high of 27 C crappy?

You might actually enjoy walking around New York City then. Last time I was in NYC I walked about nine miles in one day. High was around 26°C though it cooled quickly in the evening, in strong midday sun it still felt a bit hot for walking around. Much hotter temperatures with humidity would have been draining, we wouldn't gone that far.

Still a lot warmer than it's been in Northern Ireland. Probably will be sunny, sunnier than the hotter humid weather you'll get in DC.
