It reached 105F here today, breaking the old daily record of 104F set in 1924. It hasn't been this hot since 2011.
Also a thunderstorm developed nearby, but missed me to the east. On my way home from work, I saw cloud to ground lightning, but I only had a few drops of rain.
The temp at the airport dropped to 90F, even though it missed the rain as well.
Expecting about 1.5" of rain tonight and tomorrow some can be heavy downpours.
LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK FROM THE OHIO VALLEY THROUGH WESTERN
NY STATE TONIGHT AND INTO SOUTHERN QUEBEC ON TUE. A WARM FRONT
EXTENDING FROM THIS SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE AREA OVERNIGHT AND
LIFT THROUGH THE AREA TUE MORNING...FOLLOWED BY A COLD FRONT TUE
NIGHT.
Above normal temps AND above normal rainfall, jealous.
