-20C would be pretty extreme for göteborg. szczecin is more continental i think.

From Corvallis, Oregon; the official stats:

Ave Max 62.3 (16.8) or 6.2 (3.4) above long term.
Ave Min 37.7 (3.2) exactly on par. That doesn't happen very often.
For a mean of 50 (10) degrees or 3.1 (1.7) degrees above the long term norms.
Rainfall was also dead on at 4.37 inches or roughly 110mm.

This was an abnormally warm month with only ten March's since 1889 that were warmer. there was also an unusually large number of rain free days considering the bang-on normal rainfall. The official station logged 14 days that we rain free but there were at least three others which had virtually cloud free conditions that recorded more than a trace. Not sure why.

What's up for April? We have had a major shift in our weather pattern and are now looking at least two weeks (or longer) of unsettled, rainy and cool weather. No record breaker and the amounts of precipitation are progged to be light but we'll see some rain virtually every day until the 15th at least, and chillier than average conditions throughout. We will, on the other hand, see the most snowfall in the Cascades the next two weeks than we have seen all winter.

March in Malta continued the below average theme, with above average rainfall too...

The following stats are taken from my PWS in St Paul's Bay on the northern coast of Malta, compared to averages from Balzan (my nearest station) though Balzan is inland & has cooler minimums than here so skews the overall mean*...

Average High: 17.3C (-0.5C)
Average Low: 13.3C (+2.0C)
Overall Mean: 15.3C (+0.7C)*

Highest Max: 21.6C (22nd)
Lowest Min: 10.5C (9th)
Lowest Max: 14.2C (9th)
Highest Min: 16.2C (26th)

Total Rainfall: 44.2mm (119%)
Days of Rainfall: 15
Days of >1.0mm: 10
Days of Thunder: 6
Days of Hail: 2

Sunshine: 203 Hrs** (91%)

**Sunshine figures from Luqa

Below my station stats in Wiki weather box, alongside those from the Malta Met Office at Luqa Airport:

Record low max: 41F (5C)
Record high min: 63F (17.2C)

Days with lows at or below freezing: 3

Days with thunder: 4

I measured 5.50 inches of rain where I live, slightly less than at the airport.

Avg high was near normal while avg low was above normal. Rainfall was 0.5 inches above normal. The first half of the month was cool and wet while the second half was warmer with less rainfall. The snowfall was very unusual.

Normal avg high/low is 70.0/48.6F (21.1/9.2C) and normal rainfall is 5.30 inches (134.6)

March had roughly average temperatures and slightly below average precipitation. However, I didn't like how warm it was coming off one of the coldest Februaries on record. The high of 75 on March 5 was annoying, since it came just one week after 4" of snow. The later part of the month was nice, however.

February was the coldest on record (since 1893, though there's was a probably less accurate record since 1836), March wasn't quite there. 16.0°F is still the coldest March minimum on record. March 2014 felt cold, this March was a bit colder. While not quite spring, it didn't feel as cold as last March as it was a big warm-up from February. Snow cover lasted till the end of the month. Rather dry, though rain near the end of the month boosted the totals.
