Moscow: B-. I like that winter temps are cold enough but milder than other extremely cold cities in Russia. Precipitation is ok except February, march and April (it is quite dry in these months). Sunshine is livable. Summers are ok though I would like 2 C warmer temps.
Sochi: C+. Nice sunshine the same as here. Summers are ok very warm but not hot like here. Precipitation is nice. But winters are poor.
Yakutsk: E+. Winters are extremely cold! Not livable. Poor precipitation. Sunshine is not bad except the winter darkness. Summers are ok generally.
Novosibirsk: C-. Nice summers generally. Lovable snow. Precipitation is poor. Winters are a bit too cold.
Moscow C+ Decent in midwinter and midsummer. Let down a bit by the nothing weather in April, Sep, Oct.
Novosibirsk B- Nowhere near as brutal in winter as I imagined. More snow than Yakutsk too. Nice summers, and shorter transition seasons than Moscow. Best of the bunch.
Yakutsk C-. Summers are lovely, but too short. Seriously cold in winter, but too dry with it.
Sochi E. The winter Olympics? Seriously? Only sports that climate is good for are ones involving water.
Sochi: B- (too warm and wet in winter, nice in summer)
Moscow: C+ (too cold and dark in winter, nice snowfall)
Novosibirsk: D (too cold in winter)
Yakutsk: F (way too cold, too dry)
