I think it's pretty nice actually. Not too hot in the summer, winters are decently cold but not ridiculous, and I like how the wet season is in the spring/summer.
Great thread. I hardly ever read the Weather Forum, but gf and I want to move from Houston, TX. A big reason is because the weather is getting to us. Excessive heat and humidity bothers me, and she doesn't like the wet winters. We were looking at either Santa Fe, NM, Albequerque, NM or Asheville, NC. We're leaning towards Albequerque instead of Santa Fe due to the high real estate prices in Santa Fe. Does anyone else have any suggestions? We want:
Summer temps below 90 degrees
Winter temps above the freezing mark mostly
<10" snow is nice, but preferably not more.
We don't like California.
Any suggestions appreciated.
