B-, the winters need to be cooler, but the summers and rainfall are good. The records are downright heavenly.

Sounds nice. Like the hill country of Sri Lanka.

This climate gets an A. The realistic Miami at 5000 feet would get a D because it would probably get over 100 inches of rain.

Sorry. I was a bit too rushed to calculate rainfall totals

nice job AJ1013, i think it is a very close representation of what Miami would be like if it was at 5000 ft, though tommy is right there would probably be different rain amounts. but lets think about this. since Miami is on the east coast and in this fantasy world Florida is mountainous, i assume areas to the west would have even higher elevations, so Miami at 5000 ft might have a lot less rain (say 25" maybe)

currently though i'd give it a solid B. although accurate, record lows are way too low for my taste. if the record lows were higher (say a record low of 21°F/-6°C for the coldest month) and maybe a tad bit less rain (say 45") it would be an A for me.

A. Major(understatement) improvement over the current version and it's quite comfortable looking for the calendar year. A great annual sunshine total and great average lows during the summer(crisp evenings and mornings). I'd agree on the 100 inches of rain and if figured in I'd downgrade to a B-/C+...

When Miami is at 5K this might be pertinent.
