The climates included are those that are generally unpleasant - Too hot, cold, rainy, humid and/or gloomy. If you were forced live in one of them, which would you choose?

Yakutsk (extremely cold winter)
Dallol (unrelentingly hot)
Torshavn (extremely gloomy)
Whittier (overly rainy AND snowy)
Quibdó (humid, wet and gloomy)
Dhahran (extremely hot and humid)
Mount Waialeale (massively wet)

I vote for dhahran. It's actually rather dry in the summer according to the stats, plus its winter is quite good.

I'll take Quibdó. It's not THAT bad...

I'd replace Dhahran with Mecca though.

Dallol!!!

I'm kidding(I can't see that one being picked)... I guess I'll take Torshavn because it's less extreme than all the others and you'd eventually adjust to the temperatures for the year. Also Torshavn probably sees more sun than Mount Waialeale? That's one of those locations in Hawaii that's under eternal cloud cover. That one isn't bad but it probably would get uncomfortably sticky after a while. They are all really bad with that being said though... Quibdó and Mount Waialeale get over 300 inches of rain, dear God...

I don't know, I'm thinking Dhahran, but they can see heat and heat indecies that are completely astronomical.

Quibdó/Mount Waialeale - living in a shower with the handle turned all the way up. NO
Dallol - if there was a kitchen in hell and there was an oven in this kitchen you would wish you were living in this oven. NO
Whittier - 21 feet of snow every year. your house will be buried. archaeologists will discover you in a thousand years. NO
Yakutsk - 4 months in your house is the true test for mental insanity. NO

rational people would not choose those. maybe if they enjoy pain and suffering.

for the last 2 though... its a tough choice. i am literally sweating trying to make a decision. i've narrowed it down to Torshavn and Dhahran. i think those are the rational choices.

Torshavn - depressing and boring but lack of any extremes. (except maybe extremely boring)
Dhahran - extremely hot and very dry summers, but pleasant winters.

i need to take a walk, i'll decide later its too tough.

hmmm...

Torshavn - 7 months of 2/10 and 5 months of 5/10 = 39/120 = π*(39)/π/(2) = 19.5/60 = 32.5%
Dhahran - 7 months of 1/10 and 5 months of 8/10 = 47/120 = π*(47)/π/(2) = 23.5/60 = 39.1%

math says i should go with Dhahran.

Voted for Quibdó for thunderstorms, but I realize Mount Waialeale's cooler temperatures would be more comfortable. One of those two.

Yakutsk, at least most of the year is livable. Although I'd have to celebrate my birthday at a different time of the year due to extreme cold. -33/-42 F average on my birthday sounds unpleasant.
