I'm trying to go on NOWData right now on the Miami NWS page and it's not working for me.
Yes it is. Especially on calm clear nights. One morning this January it was 60F at my home and 71F at the beach.

Here's Feb 2015 in Miami Beach. I was slightly cooler at night and possibly a tiny but warmer during the day. I have a good PWS now so we'll see this winter.

I'm very skeptical of that. You barely even see that difference on calm clear nights in the Everglades vs. Miami itself.

Key Biscayne is a mile wide, meaning your house is more than likely less than 1/2 mile from the water. That wouldn't cause an 11 F difference.

Your faulty weather station isn't "proof" neither.

It happens, but it would not happen 1/2 mile away from the coast.

I never said it doesn't happen, I'm saying it's rare. But I am saying an 11 F difference 1/2 mile away from the coast wouldn't happen....anywhere.

The Redlands are pretty far inland and not that urbanized.

BTW, I would like to see that pic. And I hope it's not from other faulty Wunderground "personal" stations. Those have a high frequency of misreading as well.

Have you been to California?

And yes it can happen... Just very rarely. The night I cited was totally calm where I live, however on the beach there was a 2-3MPH easterly breeze. When water temps are in the mid 70's that's all it takes. Within an hour after that both locations were registering temps in the mid-70's

EDIT: That morning was in the 50's inland and in the lower 60's at the airport

We don't live in California though, we live in Miami. When I said "anywhere" I meant the Miami area.

We don't have the same effect as California that has cold ocean temperatures with a very hot interior. Or even the opposite (cold interior, warm sea temps).

The "microclimates" here don't come close to comparing to the ones in California, so I'm not even sure why you used it as an example.

Kentucky will soon return to its natural climatic state, where lows in the 60s are commonplace in mid-winter, and I will replant my coconut palm.

The warm epoch in Europe will end and Malta will see commonplace blizzards and freezing temps will kill of all non-native vegetation. Pfft. Amateur Climatologists.

For KRDU
March: 2
April: 5
May: 23
June: 27
July: 30
August: 29
September: 20
October: 3
Total: 139

There's still a slight chance (~4%) that it will hit 80 again before the end of the year.
