We had 12 consecutive dry days up to Sunday, which is the longest dry spell of the year. Since then there has been three consecutive days with no sunshine which is the joint longest spell this year.

This past summer New York City had a record streak of approximately 60 days (don't know exact figure) of days with highs over 80F. Now, we're having quite the October-November-December warm streak. Basically a continuation of our pattern since May, which has had only a few below-normal days. So this is continuing.

After a start to August that consisted of 14 out of 17 days below average, each the past 11 days have been above average here.

54 consecutive days at or above 86°F/30°C in the Raleigh area (most on record).
75 consecutive days at or above 86°F/30°C in the Oklahoma City area (sixth most on record).
