I wonder if Mt. Greylock (similar elevation in Massachusetts at 42°N) ever experienced a low that warm?
Last night, hills and lower mountains stayed warmer than most of the valleys and the lower flatland.
Munich Airport cooled down to 12.9°C/55.2°F
The Zugspitze 2962m/9715ft wasn't much cooler with a low of 9.1°C/48.4°F
I'm guessing the Alps are getting some impressive snow and glacier melt this summer.
Our warmest lows are with high dewpoints, usually higher up doesn't get dewpoints as high so it'll be somewhat cooler. On dry nights, hill slopes can be warmer than valleys.
