Can't expose the skin so you wouldn't "feel" anything if you're dressed right. It's fun actually.

A look at the wind chills. Lots of Sub 0F out there into PA.

Looks like snow entering northern Mississippi.

Nah, I know it's cold, BUT what does it actually feel like on exposed skin, like say if you went outside loosely dressed to take out the garbage?

It feels bitterly bitterly cold. If you have any exposed skin it'll generally hurt (cold) for a few minutes then go pink and numb. At those temperatures you quickly lose the ability to move your hands and a simple task like tying your shoes rapidly becomes extremely difficult.

The coldest I've experienced is about -25F with a windchill around -50F

Numbing, that's why you can't expose the skin for too long.. you will get frostbite within 30 minutes at those temps. You can get away with taking out the garbage and coming back. Typically one will just have clothes ready to throw on.

I walk my dog in Sub Zero temps without a jacket but I have gloves on and a sweatshirt hoodie. Face never feels it. That takes longer

wow sounds like this sort of cold is serious business! Would be fun to live in such a climate for a little while just to experience it, the beer would be chilled in 5 minutes outside lol
