3pm temps and radar. Storm about to leave the Adirondacks heading to Montreal. Winds here are reaching Tropical Storm strength. The run off from the rains and melting snow is causing flooding and forming lakes. Wish I was on the West side of the Low. Dewpoints in the 50s

It's supposed to continue snowing until this evening at least.

Offices in the region are sending people home early now.
Well done. You can reach my total snowfall this winter in one 24 hour period. Only 10 more cm to go.

possible thunderstorm, it's raining hard and windy

...HEAVY RAIN WITH EMBEDDED STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS SWEEPING
NORTHEAST ACROSS NORTHERN CONNECTICUT INTO WESTERN AND CENTRAL
MASSACHUSETTS...

AT 231 PM EST...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A WIDESPREAD AREA OF RAIN
WITH EMBEDDED HEAVIER SHOWERS...POSSIBLY AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM...
MOVING NORTH-NORTHEAST AT 75 MPH.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAIN AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. ALREADY REPORTS HAVE BEEN GATHERED
FROM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF GUSTS NEARLY 50 MPH.

SUCH WIND GUSTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF CAUSING DAMAGE IN THE FORM OF
DOWNED LIMBS AND POWER LINES.

There's a small bright red spot on the radar in the Hudson Valley in upstate NY

Well, we getting the record low seasonal snowfall now.

We have a chance of a big snowstorm next week, and early March can be snowy. But yea, time is running out. Northern New England may have a bit longer, especially at high elevations. Frequent rain isn't helping.

This seems to become the third consecutive winter with way below average snowfall.

2013-2014 = 21 cm / 8.3 in
2014-2015 = 46 cm / 18.1 in
2015-2016 = 25 cm / 9.8 in

92 cm / 36.4 in so far. In three winters. The normal for one year is around that (also including autumn and spring snowfall).
