Yeah, seems odd for it to be that deep red at anything higher than 52 F, even in mid-winter.

They have it like that because it's not too common for upper 50's & 60s in the winter that's why they do change it in the spring when 50s and 60s are more common

This past week had an early spring feel to it. Chilly, but refreshing and not outrageously cold.

15 days at or above 70 would tie 2004-05, 2001-02, and 1956-57 for 5th most.
14 days would tie 2007-08 and 1949-50 for 8th most.

All this is out of 128 (soon to be 129) winters.
28!!!!!!!!! That's a whole month. Interesting thing is 1998-1999 is second and that year followed a super nino. Maybe next year we can do same ?

Wednesday max temps per GFS06z. Can you tell where the storm is by just looking at the temps? I circled it just in case you cant.

ALWAYS a warm surge on the East side of a strong storm but this one has it all around.. Next frame is Wedneday evening and night so the max temps don't look that impressive.

But rest assure with the storm track like that 50s make it to New England again and it might happen overnight and in the morning depending on the speed of the storm!

The Highest February minimum temp is mid 40s around here.
The highest Minimum for Hartford is 50° set on Feb 20, 1981

GFS6z Max temp Thursday 1am-7am

Whoops, should of grabbed the mins instead. Still warm in the 50s in southern New England. But temps may drop during the day when storm leaves so 50s shouldn't be the low. Depends on speed of storm.
