I just believe in stuff that can be proven. If someone came up with a scientific, verifiable proof of a God(s), yes, I would be a believer. To me, science is a fundamental way of life - I can go out right now and test the law of gravity by measuring how long it takes an object to fall from a certain height. Science is real, hypothetical deities written about in ancient texts are not - not to me, anyhow...lol.

Oh really. Good for him.

Well at least we know it's true. Bit surprised but ok.

Exactly my thoughts on the subject as well. I like believing things that have actually been proven to be true.

That's exactly how I am too - it's perfectly fine what someone believes, so long they don't try and shove it down my throat...lol. Live and let live, that's my motto.

But yeah, I'd not worry about the Christian thing (or Jewish), since a lotta gays just pay lip service and don't take it seriously at all. If someone says they "believe" but don't bother going to church and all that jazz, I don't see the difference, really. If I were in your shoes, a good litmus test would be whether they believe in evolution and science as the basis for knowledge, as opposed to deriving "truth" from the Bible. Otherwise, you're gonna limit your dating pool rather severely, imo.

One idea though, is to seek out any atheist Meet-up groups in your area - they may not have too many gay people in them, but it'd be an excellent place to find one if there were some.
Most heathens are probably atheists anyway. If not most, then many are. It's the ritual aspect that appeals to most. The ancestor worship. And so on.

Lol, science is not akin to a religion. I'm guessing you're religious. I don't think it can answer everything.. that's what metaphysics is for, though you still can't come up with real answers. But organized religion is just dogma that discourages meaningful exploration of metaphysical matters.

You stay in resorts all the time. Every time I've ever gone on vacation, it was always in someone else's house that wasn't in a gated or exclusive community.
