Also, today is the first day with a sunset before 9 pm. The brightest quarter of the year is over
While that may be true in the sheer sense of time (brightest quarter is roughly May 6-August 6) the sun angle and daylight length is still less than 25% of the way between June 21 and December 21, it's actually at about 16-17% of the way. So in the sense of solar angle and day length, it's still the brightest 25% of the year until about August 20-21 after that day length starts dropping dramatically though.

Brightest 25% of the year is roughly about April 21-August 21

I find it depends on the check in staff, some will let you off with excess baggage & if your suitcase is over, others are very strict, even on the same airline...

No American airlines are just stupid. I've never been charged at home.

Anyway i'm just gonna shut up and say nothing, you get nowhere complaining here.
And it isn't excess baggage, Delta charge you for every bag.

My mum once got overcharged for being 0.2kg over the limit. That's a bit ridiculous I think.

I took a sleeping pill last night and even though I got 7 hours of sleep (from about 1 AM-8 AM) I feel groggy as all hell. With these things, you have to get like 10-12 hours of sleep in order to not be groggy.

Did you take it when you went to bed, or before?

LOL I read that post without seeing who it was by and I thought naif12's style in writing English had really come on a long way!

Interesting that you draw the line at August 21, because it's around the last ten days of August when I get a sense that the midday sun is definitely starting to become weaker. Even if it's really warm, the sun doesn't feel like a true "summer sun".
