Downside of thunderstorms: being on the side of a mountain not that far from the top, avoiding go anymore further till it passes

And just having to avoid being outside during a thunderstorm. Plus the noise. Plus the potential for power outages.

I was caught in this memorable storm back in June 2012:

Extremely rare white Beluga whales spotted off northern England beach

Belugas are “typically associated with pack ice, It is very rare for them to travel as far south as NE England.”

Cold waters

Hate over- air conditioned restaurants. Or just ones too cold in the summer especially when it's not hot out. Once at a restaurant in Maine in June having breakfast, the staff had all the doors and windows open. Asked if they could close it, staff said they were warm. Was tempted to leave a meager tip. We were the only ones there wearing shorts.

I get really envious of people from certain climates.. for example, subpolar oceanic climates. Besides having desirable winters and cool summers, they also lack real thunderstorm activity. Just a win/win/win. I'd certainly move to such a climate. I'd be quite happy never to experience another thunderstorm in my life.

Yeah some restaurants are way too cold. I guess they do it for the staff since they're running around and in a hot kitchen.

Sorry, but I'm totally on the side of the wait staff here.

I heard the cooler conditions encourage people to eat more.

I support it if makes the wait staff more comfortable. I've never worked as a waiter. But **** this American idea of customer-centricity. No, **** that. I support the idea of a cohesive society, a cohesive people. Sometimes these ****ty little customer annoyances will have to take a back seat.
