What the hell, that's criminal! High school started at 9:00am and finished at 3:20pm for me, and I still hated the mornings.

I think it was to make room for sports during after school hours.

Waking up early is what makes school and work so miserable and difficult.

My schedhule was 12am-8am in school, I would've collapsed if I had to goto school at 7.

Yeah, starting later is much better. I had no idea Americans had school that early though, I just assumed everyone started at 9am.

Public high schools here start at 7:30.

But I went to a Catholic school that started at 8:00.

I personally wish school started at 7 on the dot in the morning, or even earlier. An earlier start means an earlier end and you have the whole rest of your day to relax.
