^^^^^^^

You beat me to it Cambium, I was just going to comment on the fact that Denver Colorado is expecting their first snow of the season, and it isn’t even the middle of October yet.......I wonder if this snow in Denver will cause tree branches and limbs to break off due to this snowalso I wonder if many trees in Denver still have leaves on them-I posted a fall foliage thread for 2017 in the garden forum.......looks like it never gained any traction from other posters there, by the way, it looks like as of today overall the Indianapolis area still is reporting just patchy colors so far as of this writing.

I'll have to look for that post in the garden forum. Didn't know there was one actually.

Depends how much and how heavy around Denver for tree damage. Probably some power outages as well.

It's in the 70s right now in Denver. lol. Normal 1 inch 1st snowfall is October 24th in Denver. But they've gotten snow in September actually.

Possible snowfall totals for mountains/Foothills is 5-10", I-25 Corridor/Denver is 4-6"

FYI ......... They are showing 4 inches for Denver??? Normal 1st date of 4"+ is December 1st. LOL! 2 months earlier than normal?!

It's 80 in Denver and supposed to snow on Monday and then mid 60s. Crazy climate, but more preferable than the midwest.

The weather here around Erie, PA is on crack or something. It's in the mid-70's and was around 80 the past week.

It should be around 50-55.

Sounds like Denver's weather also doesn't know what to do

No it shouldn't.

-the first 7 days of October have an average high of 65.6
-the first 7 days of October have an average high of 75.8 in 2017
-that same anomaly would produce an average high of 55.4

Conclusion--The highs of 50-55 that you say should be happening are just as anomalous as the warmth that is happening. And if you didn't mean highs, the average low for the first week of October 2017 has been 53.3, right in the middle of that range.

I hate it when cold/warm lovers pretend that large cold/warm anomalies are normal.

Oh yes. If I have to live in a climate with 80F+ summers, it better be Denver.

I'd prefer the climate of Marquette, MI to Denver, CO, but that's me.

As the Jet digs down in the West AGAIN...New snowstorm comes about...

No new thread for this one since its confined to a small area and for higher elevation. Lots of Pacific moisture coming in though into cold enough air...

Snow total forecast tomorrow to Friday.

Mt Rainier in Washington should be fun to watch. Out of the 5 Webcams they have these 2 are my favorite angles
