10°C and drizzle - a bit dull when it goes on for extended periods of time (the drizzle in particular would get annoying), but quite comfortable and unimposing for the most part.

A 40°C day with a thunderstorm would be fun to experience as a one-off event but it's way too hot for me to want that on a regular basis, especially with the type of humidity that a thunderstorm at that temperature would surely bring. I prefer my thunderstorms in the 24 to 32 degree range

Drizzle at 10C may be a bit depressing, but it's far better than a humid and oppressive 40C thunderstorm.

Here's a different perspective...

When temp and dewpoint are within seven degrees of one another, icing becomes an issue for airplanes.

Drizzle and 50F (10C) has often led to icing aloft.

Then gravity kicks in...
