I was thinking about how where I live, I consider December fall in the beginning, but at this time of year trees are starting to get bald and since places up north have had a good amount of snow already. Is there a place, in America or worldwide, with a December that has a substantial amount of fall color and leaves?

Saw quite a lot of red and orange leaves in northern Florida last time I was there in December.

Florida. Honestly, December is a winter month not a fall one by any means. Early December might have some "fall-like" weather at times when it's warmer than normal but it's still winter.

Yeah, as G8RCAT said, North FL has some nice fall color in late November/early December.

Thanks for your responses! I can totally get why someone would cash December a winter month in most NH places. It's rather frozen-feeling in the end of the month where I live

I doubt it. Most places have lost their leaves long before December. I can't see there being anywhere that does have leaves with colour in them.

Where I live, the leaves usually begin to turn colors at the end of September, but it's barely noticeable. A good amount of color isn't seen until mid October. It looks the most like fall around the 20's of October, just before Halloween. We have quite a few trees that stay colorful well into November, sometimes up to November 20-25, but by even the beginning of December the deciduous leaves are pretty much all dead. Many of them are still on the trees, but brown. They usually fall off in December and by Christmas the trees are usually bare.

Plenty of places in NZ still look autumnal until early/mid winter.

I think the OP means looking like fall by having fall color. Do those places in New Zealand get colorful leaves?

In Tallahassee it looked most like fall from about November 15-December 15. After that period most deciduous trees were had dead brown leaves or were bare and before most trees are still green. Though in early November the colors get somewhat noticeable. Obviously, it's not exactly the same as a four season climate.
