Maybe California could do that too.
This discussion made me check out the SSC forum, and the Greenwich Peninsula regeneration project. I didn't realise how many new buildings were being built! 25 buildings over 100m crammed in a small area close to the O2, with something like 12,000 new homes!

Philadelphia is expecting upper 60s Sunday and Monday with lows only in the 50s. Better get the soap for that dirty mouth of yours ready.

Speaking of unusual eastern warmth, I wonder if Savannah will avoid hitting 80 F on Sunday. Forecast is currently calling for a high of 79 F.

I don't have quite the independence you do. I would not be willing to live more than a few hours away from my immediate family. I would get homesick. A place out in New Mexico would be completely foreign to me. Not many trees and lots of semi arid grass and shrubs.

Looks like I picked the right year to be absent from the NE and Mid-Atlantic.
You're missing out.

I wouldn't want to be too far from my family either, but if it was somewhere I truly wanted to be it'd make it easier. I'd do New Mexico. I almost ended up at Tulane in New Orleans, but going to school in New York made more sense at the time, for a variety of reasons.

I sort of regret not applying to any colleges early action or early decision. A lot of my friends are starting to hear back from schools they did or did not get into, but I won't hear back from anywhere I applied until February.

As for how far away from family I'd be willing to live, I'd rather not live more than a day's drive away for more than a few years.

No, it doesn't have engineering or meteorology, and I want to major in one of those two areas.
I'm applying to NC State, though.
