Saw The Revenant. Pretty good, but kind of long and boring.

Yep, someone smoking 4-5 big fatties a day, is soon going to chew through a kg. The police (here) would easily accept that, when there is nothing around related to selling. 10 years for a kg, is barbaric.

Cricket or katydid? Some of the Katydid species can sound similar to a cricket, and chirp away on warmer winter days/evenings

Interesting weather statistic:

On April 22, 2014, I rode in a 2010 Honda Accord coupe driven by someone from Lima, Peru. Average amount of rain there is 0.512 inches (13.0 mm) per year.

On June 1, 2015, I rode in a 2011 Honda Accord sedan driven by someone from Liberia. I didn't get what part she was from, but Monrovia is the most populous city and the capital and it's a small country, so it's likely she was from fairly close to there. Average amount of rain there is 202.35 inches (5,140 mm) per year.

Lima is the driest capital city in the world and Monrovia is the wettest. It would take 395 years for Lima to get as much rain as Monrovia does in an average year. In other words, roughly since the Renaissance.

I just checked & we do get the Common Green Bush Cricket/Katydid here, but they are meant to only be active from July to October, but it has ben very warm here so who knows... The sound was driving me mad for hours last night, at first I thought it was on TV, but then when I changed channel I could still hear it, then I thought it was coming from somewhere indoors, then I opened up the front door & heard it outside. I actually like the sound, but strange to hear it this time of the year...

If you ever have wondered what the other side discusses about in the air, here's an intercept from Russian in-flight radio communications. Russia has 2 SU-27 fighers and 1 A-50 spy plane over the Gulf of Finland, and a Finnish F/A-18C comes to identify the odd planes.

Sorry for the poorly translated subtitles, but you get the idea:

I can't wait for the Seahawks@Vikings game tomorrow.

The kickoff temp is projected to be 0F (-18C). I know I've never watched a game that cold!
