You have places like Denny's and Perkins in the U.S. (not present in Quebec but present in Anglo-Canada) which are big for breakfast but I am pretty sure they are all still open for dinner.
Denny's definitely open for dinner.

Is it really that common across North America? I can't say I have noticed the presence of large chains of breakfast/lunch restaurants that are actually closed in the late afternoon and evenings. Well, to be honest it's only a small fraction of places that allow you to bring your own wine here. They are often grouped together in one area. In Montreal there are two streets (Duluth and Prince-Arthur) that are known for this. I live where they happen to be concentrated in my city, but it's more of a suburban area.
Yeah, you guys like to stand around with a coffee and a pastry or croissant for breakfast!
