Canada has cool summers, compared to Russia, but why is that? Because most of (western) Canada lies at an altitude above 600 meters. So, if Canada had an altitude of only 100 meters, how its temperatures would be?
Rate and choose which's the best
As you can see, the climate is very similar to Russia's. Do you like this "low" Canada? Or do you prefer the old one? Also, do you think the world's perception of Canada's climate would change?

I like it because the summers get warmer (especially because of the summer nights)
Personally I would like a High Vancouver climate. A humid continental climate with winters averaging between -1°C and -8°C with tons of snow. Summerest would be sunny but humid with temperatures ranging from 25°C and 14°C. They would be over 1000 mm of precipitation year and over 100 cm of snow a year

That already exists... It's called the Coast mountains.

Or the Highlands of the Fraser Valley maybe. Except nobody lives there. I live in the Fraser Valley and I get much more snow than Vancouver. The Fraser Valley gets lots of snow in the hills but down towards southern Abbotsford they get practically barely any snow.
